    Serabond thread is a special sewing thread for outdoor textiles. Among others it is used as sewing thread for sails, tents, awnings, boat covers, and tarpaulins. Moreover, the outdoor sewing thread is used for home interior textiles or outdoor home textiles respectively.
    Applications include : Air bags, Automobile Upholstery, Bedding, Bookbinding, Canvas Products, Footwear, Leather Goods, Luggage, Mattresses, Seat Belts, Technical Textiles, Upholstered Furniture, Carpets and many more.
    Bonded sewing threads are easily recognized. On the one hand, they feel stiffer than normal sewing threads due to their additional treatment (this is noticeable when the thread is drawn from the package). On the other hand, bonded threads are harder to untwist. The resistance is clearly noticeable, which is a consequence of the bonding effect.
    In consequence of extreme weather effects, outdoor textiles have to withstand maximum stress. The different climatic influences – UV rays, moisture, acid rain or airborne substances as well as ozone, nitrogen oxide or dirt – show that there is a need for products with technical characteristics that remain unchanged after many years of being exposed to these factors.
