    Description

My family was in Japan about 1956 to 1958 and we brought this Santa robot back from that trip. It was powered by a hand-held battery source the size of a flashlight with 2 D-cell batteries with a switch and a wire a few feet long that went in the toy's back. Leaking batteries ruined the battery pack and so my Dad just cut off the wire at Santa's back and kept it for a Christmas decoration. If you look at the photo of the back you can see the red and yellow wire stubs. When powered he would beat the drum and ring the bell, walk forward on the little wheels in his boots and his head would swivel from side to side and the bulb in his hat would light up. If you connected the wires to a 3 volt DC power source he might live again. No promises are made of that. What you see is what you get. He's 11 inches tall and a little dusty but otherwise in good shape. Check out the photos.
